Sharing the Rough Documentary /Gem Show Event

Let us take you on a journey...

to see the path of a gem from the mine to your jewelry box.

We will be hosting a special screening of the documentary Sharing the Rough by Orin Mazzoni, Tuesday, September 27th at The Willow Room in Belle Vernon. The event will begin at 6pm with a meet & greet with refreshments and appetizers. The film is expected to begin at 7pm followed by a Q&A session at 8:30 with Orin Mazzoni and Roger & Ginger Dery, the main subjects of the film. There is no charge for admittance. Attendees will have the opportunity to make a small donation to The Devon Foundation if they choose. The Devon Foundation works to train African locals in gem-cutting to attain jobs in the gem industry to better provide for their families. More information about The Devon Foundation can be found at

The following day, Wednesday September 28th, we will hold a gem show from 11am to 6 pm where you can meet Roger Dery and bring home your very own piece of the story. Roger will have on display for sale many exotic gems including (but not limited to) rare colored garnets, iolites, sapphires, tourmalines, and of course, tanzanite. We also have on-site jewelers and jewelry designers to help you create a beautiful heirloom from Roger's collection.
